Born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28 1986 Pickler had a troublesome childhood. As a toddler, her mother fled an abusive relationship. Pickler was reunited with the mother she had left in 1995 after she was appointed the custodian. However it did not work out as planned. After Pickler was 12years old, the court transferred her to her maternal grandparents which raised her to adulthood. Pickler was too busy raising her children in the absence of her parents. She admitted that she didn't find time to attend school and began learning how to be a homemaker at an early stage. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad.
