Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. She is an actor as well as a singer and dancer. Early Broadway parts include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford is a veteran of the majority of her career working alongside renowned directors and actors across theatre and on television. she continues that award-winning project with various upcoming ones. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney Digital Television's channels. Ashford is set to return in 2023. He will star alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who brought us Hamilton is directing the show. Ashford's latest performance was Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a national scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. For two seasons, she was a star of the hit show on CBS called B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the show also starred famous performers Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No new to Broadway Ashford won the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her role as Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway performances. Ashford is a Denver native who now divides her time between Los Angeles.
